LunaMicro’s fabric pump can take the heat! 🔥
People who need protection from heat and flames require clothing made from extra robust materials. The flame spread test (ISO 15025) is one method of verifying this safety requirement. The test is performed by recording the consequences of directing a propane flame at the material surface for 10 seconds. The material is expected to change color but not to catch fire and it needs to maintain its integrity – no holes allowed!
We’re happy to report that our pump, with flame retardant fabric, passed this rigorous test, an important milestone for implementing our technology in several PPE and dual-use applications.
Watch the video below to see a flame test on one of our pumps, performed by our partners at Concordia Textiles.
